| Hispanic Retail 360 Summit Hispanic Retail 360 in its second annual event called on Ulatam founder Jim Perkins once more. This year Perkins immersed attendees through Hispanic Retailing Efforts in Chicago in real retail units. Important GFIA Conference The Georgia Food Industry Association is the only trade association dedicated solely to representing the grocery industry. GFIA members include retailers, wholesalers and suppliers doing business in Georgia. This year the GFIA presented Ulatam President Jim Perkins as the Hispanic Retailing Expert at the Amelia Island Conference. | New York Conference Jim Perkins spoke at the IQPC Conference in April 05 on "Developing a Relationship with Hispanic Consumers". To understand culture is to better understand the similarities and differences when attempting to reach the Hispanic Consumer and understand behavior. Understanding the concepts of High Context and Low Context Culture can assist firms when approaching this unique segment. The session focused on perception of code switching and provided examples of how and when and when not to rely on Code Switching as a vehicle to attract the Hispanic Consumer.
